About Zephyros

Zephyros the western wind was son of Astreus (starry sky) and Io (dawn). Zephyros, Voreas, Notos and Euros are the four winds are mentioned in Homer.

He lived in the depth of the earth with his brother Voreas from where they commanded the other winds a privilige which Zeus had given them.

In attic literature was the sweet refreshing breeze which contributed in the increase of vegetation and maturity of fruit. He usualy appeared in a human form and the only thin which differed from man where its wings.
It also said that he kidnapped Yakintho, grandson of King Lakedemona of Sparti.

Location The Restaurant Zephyros is located in Azolimnos Syros a few meters from the coast, which guarantees a wonderful view to the beach and the Aegean Sea. Right outside of the building there is the bus stop of local busses.

Azolimnos, Syros The coastal village Azolimnos is in the southeastern part of the island, 6km from Ermoupoli. It is a graphic settlement that has evolved rapidly to a tourist resort. In the settlement and around the coastline are a lot of hotels and rooms to let of all categories. Best spot of the region is the village with a beautiful golden shore and crystal blue waters. It is the closest beach to Ermoupoli and one of the most famous in the island. After your bath you can eat in the taverns and try the local specialties.
