We are located on the largest
and most well-organized of the island's beaches, Galissas, which
has been awarded a Blue Flag of excellence by the European Union.Here you
will find Syros' (or “Syras” as the island was called in the past) largest
and most modern hotel: the Dolphin Bay Hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located just 2.5 hours from the port of Piraeus
and a short 2 hours from the port of Rafina, while the island of Syros
also has connecting flights to Athens International Airport.
Galissas, Syros
Galissas
is the most tourist village of the island. Just 7 km from Hermoupolis,
to the western part of Syros, is the beautiful village of Galissas, a
former agricultural village which has developed rapidly in the recent
years to become the best tourist resort of the island.

taverns and bars promise unforgettable moments to the visitors.
The wonderful beach with the fine sand and the shade from the salty pine
trees, the well known hill of Saint Pakou with the picturesque little

is the base of two cultural Associations, which organise various events
(theatre performances, wine celebration, art exhibitions, music nights,
horse beauty contest, beach volley tournament, etc). In addition, there is
the Nautical Association of Galissas.
Syros Island, Greece
Syros is the capital of the Cycladic Island Cluster and is one of
the most developed Greek islands. It has been greatly influenced by the
Frankish rule and as a result, Syros has many beautiful neoclassical
buildings and manors, impressive squares and an amazing air of nobility.
Syros also possesses many breathtaking natural features such as hills,
plains, cultivated land and fields that interchange with bays, sandy
beaches and the blue waters of the Aegean Sea. The island is also
known for its many well-preserved historical sites as well as
archaeological sites and picturesque villages with whitewashed houses. |
